What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is a practice of conscious attention to the present moment that has become one of the most widely accepted and popular techniques utilized by mental health practitioners today. Developed and taught for centuries by Asian sages, it is a way of tapping the source of strength, clarity, compassion, and inner peace within oneself.
Why be Mindful?
Mindfulness helps us to heal chronic problems by amplifying our awareness and enhancing our abilities to discover what is most important and meaningful. When we achieve mindfulness, we feel calm, secure, balanced. We are able to deal well with the pressures, conflicts, and frustrations of life, to love (self and others) without judgment, and to live each moment to the fullest.
How can I experience Mindfulness?
By participating in therapy, workshops, or retreats organized locally and abroad with Dr. Webbink, you can learn how to be Mindful. You can have ongoing support for your own practice of Mindfulness at home by using the Mindfulness CD.
